Stainless Steel (SS) 446 Wire & HRAP Wire Rod is a high chromium material of stainless steel with outstanding resistance to corrosion, oxidations and sulfidation. Its elevated temperature strength is low and it’s the only grade that can stand molten brass and copper. Common welding methods can be done with the help of this materials. As it has high chromium content it’s very difficult to bend, draw, spin and weld. This alloy does not respond to heat treatment for hardening. These wires offer superior resistance to oxidations and resistance at high temperatures. Moreover, it often shows good resistance to sulfidation and other forms of soaring corrosion.
